Abstract: The pathogen isolated from anthracnose of Strelizia reginae was identified as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. The temperature range for Colletotrichum gloeosporioides growth was 10-35℃.The optimum was 25℃.The relative humidity for conidia germination ranged from 90%-100%.The fungus grew better in glucose and mannitol as the carbon sources, and in ammonium phosphate monobasic and urea as the nitrogen sources;glucose and glycerin as carbon sources and ammonium phosphate monobasic as nitrogen sources were suitable for the sporulation of the pathogen. However, peptone and ammonium sulfate as nitrogen source were not beneficial for the growth and sporulation of the pathogen,50% prochloraz manganese WP,50% carbendazim WP,70% thiophanate methyl WP(500 times,1 000 times,1 500 times) could inhibite effectually the growth in Lab.In the field, the results showed that control efficiencies of 50% prochloraz manganese WP 1000 times was the best(80.7%),the control efficiency of 70% thiophanate methyl WP(1000 times) was 71.6%.
